Subdivisions
Subdivision is the process that creates additional lots, provides for the realignment of a title boundary between sites, consolidation of lots, the creation of and removing of a reserve or restriction (such as a restrictive covenant) from the title.
The Ararat Planning Scheme determines if a planning permit is required for a subdivision proposal. The Planning and Environment, Subdivision and Transfer of Land Acts provide the legislative basis for the assessment of subdivision applications.
Please contact our Town Planners to determine if a subdivision permit is required and any particular requirements such as a minimum lot sizes and dimensions of a proposed lot.
